What is a ScreenMate? A ScreenMate is a program which generates an animation or a little Creature drawn on the desktop screen. This being usually moves randomly on the screen. This kind of programs came up some time ago and these little creatures (men, animals or whatever) have no task: they only make you Company (or they get you mad if you don't like them..)
Creating a ScreenMate Creating a ScreenMate requires some programming knowledge and you should be used to drawing in device contexts. But across Internet you can find a lot of tools that generate for you and with less efforts a real ScreenMate without programming notions (you only have to provide them the images the screenmate will use).
Kommaker Kommaker is another program capable of generating ScreenMates in an easy and "wizarded" way providing it a bitmaps set you want to use to realize your little screen mate.
Kommaker stands for "Komrade-Maker" and introduce itself as an alternative to all the tools you can find on the web to realize ScreenMates.
Why using Kommaker? Why should I use the Kommaker instead of another one?
First of all, Kommaker is totally freeware (this is not a little point if you consider the work I did on it)
Second reason: Kommaker has been built with a precise logic, it should have been able to generate COMPLETELY CUSTOMIZABLES and COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS ScreenMates
What this means? It means that you will never find something like "This ScreenMate was made with Kommaker, you can download it At www.alexmark.net" into a Kommaker's ScreenMate. No credits to the author of the Kommaker or to the Kommaker itself. Nowhere. Third reason: you can convoy a message within the ScreenMate's animation. You can perform specific actions, playing audio files or display messages from the About window. All is 101% customizable.
Generating a ScreenMate Note: you can find a copy of this documentation in the help file provided with the Kommaker.
